144 years ago in 1880 the Stather built fishing ketch North Sea H926, suffered three fatalities. Deckhands Henry Melvin 20, and Walter Leaming 19, along with apprentice David Gomersall 17, were boarding fish to the cutter in the ship's boat when it capsized and they drowned.
