Private Walter Horne Lincolnshire Regiment

Written by B.S.H.G.

Introduction

Work in progress currently with help and information from Walter's niece Jean Towers of Burton upon Stather.

The most sad part about Walter's story is that he died on 18th April 1945, only days away from the German surrender, at just 18 years of age. Just like Leslie Freear and his family he must have felt that home was on the horizon. Walter was laid to rest in Becklingen War Cemetery in Germany.

Walter's story is still a work in progress and any further information would be gratefully received please Email FTAO Karen.
