Godfrey Ling died on the 23rd of May 1918, aged 23.

Son of Harold Charles and Catherine Mary Ling. The family can be found living at 94 Skipton Rd in Keighley, West Yorkshire on the 1901 Census. Born in Keighley, Godfrey was 5 years old and at that time had siblings Doris M aged 11, Godfrey W H aged 1.

His father's occupation listed as Physician.

Captain G F B Ling is also commemorated on the The University of Leeds OTC and Roll of Honour Wooden memorial panels flank the entrance to the Brotherton Library, Leeds University.
