The 22nd of November History Calendar

On this day 102 years ago in 1916, Gunner of C Battery, 124th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died in WWI aged 22. Stepson of Mrs M J Wilson, of Burton Stather.

On this day 145 years ago in 1873, the trading ketch , built by John Wray & Son at Burton Stather sank off Lowestoft, going from London to Hull with wheat.

This was also the day in 2009 when BSHG marked the beginning of their work by erecting the flagpole on the Tank Ramp.
