The 27^th of May History Calendar

On this day 131 years ago in 1893 the Stather built sloop Rose in June returned to Hull from an unusually long voyage for a so called Humber sloop. She left Hull on the 29th of April, first taking oilcake to Yamouth, there picked up flour for London, then took barley to Ipswich, before heading for home.
