Boarding Fish

On this day 158 years ago in 1862, The Stather saw the launch of the Sloop for Mr George robinson of Crowle.

On this day 130 years ago in 1890 two crew were lost from the Stather built fishing ketch (H1286). William Sullivan and George Allen, 2nd and 3rd hands, were taking fish to the cutter Northward in the smacks' boat. They both drowned when the boat capsized.
