The 6th of February History Calendar

On this day 100 years ago in 1917 Private of the 1st/4th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment, died during World War One. Son of John and Susan Boreham, of Horringer, Bury St. Edmund's, husband of Alice Ivemy (formerly Boreham, nee Brown).

137 years ago in 1880 The brigantine , built at Burton Stather, collided with Lowestoft fishing smack Myrtle, causing the smack to sink in the North Sea.
