A Schooner

On this day 129 years ago in 1895 the schooner , while carrying coal from Newcastle to London, was sunk in collision with the SS Shearwater. Read the story of the .

One year later in 1896 Thomas William Hood of the Stather built fishing ketch , fell into the River Humber, two days after surviving the ship stranding at Withernsea. He died three days later.
