The 28^th of January History Calendar

On this day 156 years ago in 1868 another ship was launched at the Stather. The barque Lizzy at 429 tons was the largest ship in terms of tonnage built by John Wray & Son. She was built for James Fisher of Barrow in Furness and travelled between Europe, Singapore and America.
